This privacy notice explains how Digital Clarity handles the personal information you give us when you contact us through the enquiry form on this website. It covers only the information collected through that form.
Who we are
The data controller for this information is Digital Clarity Ltd, registered in England & Wales (company no. 12345293), registered office: Stansfield House Farm, Euxton Lane, Chorley, Lancashire, PR7 6DL. If you have any questions about this notice or about how we handle your information, you can reach us at hello@digitalclarity.co.uk.
What information we collect
When you submit the enquiry form, we collect only the details you provide in it:
- your full name;
- your work email address;
- the message you send us; and
- your company name (optional).
We do not ask for a telephone number, and the form has no other fields. We collect nothing else through it.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use this information for one purpose only: to read and respond to your enquiry about our services. Our lawful basis for doing so is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services and corresponding with the people who get in touch with us. Because we rely on legitimate interests, there is no consent checkbox on the form, and we do not use your details for marketing.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information or share it for marketing. To run the enquiry form and deliver the messages, we rely on two service providers who act as our data processors:
- Cloudflare, whose Turnstile service helps us tell genuine enquiries from automated spam; and
- Microsoft 365 (with FluentSMTP), which delivers the enquiry emails to and from us, sent from our noreply@ address.
These providers process the information only on our instructions and for the purposes set out above.
Where your information is processed
We are a UK business and your information is primarily stored and processed in the UK. Some of our team work from other locations within the UK, the European Economic Area, and other jurisdictions the UK government recognises as providing an equivalent (‘adequate’) level of data protection, and may access enquiry correspondence from there. Our email is handled by Microsoft 365 and spam protection by Cloudflare; where these providers process data outside the UK, they do so under the transfer safeguards set out in their own data-protection terms.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry submissions for 12 months, after which they are deleted. If your enquiry leads to an ongoing conversation or a working relationship, we may keep relevant correspondence for as long as we need it for that purpose.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you (access);
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete (rectification);
- ask us to delete your information (erasure);
- ask us to restrict how we use your information (restriction); and
- object to our use of your information.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@digitalclarity.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would, though, welcome the chance to put things right first.
